Heartsaver® CPR aed

Heartsaver® CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. This course prepares individuals to recognize when someone needs CPR, perform high-quality CPR, explain the concepts of the chain of survival, give effective breaths by using the mouth to mouth or a mask to mouth device for all age groups. You will also learn how to use an AED on an adult, child and infant. You will also learn and demonstrate how and when to help a choking adult, child and infant.

Heartsaver® first aid cpr/aed

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR/AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives.  It also includes Heart Saver/ AED as listed above for adult, child and infant.

Basic life support (Bls) for healthcare providers

BLS for Healthcare Providers is a video-based, instructor-led course that trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

  • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components

  • Use of an AED

  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device

  • Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR

  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
     

Blended Learning Heartcode® Bls Skills session

This is part 2 of the American Heart Association® Heartcode® Course for BLS for Healthcare Provider. This is a skills session after completing the online portion of class. Proof of completion is required.

Blended Learning Advanced cardiovascular life support (ACls)

Blended Learning HeartCode® Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support is an instructor-led course for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response.

  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED

  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest

  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia

  • Airway management

  • Related pharmacology

  • Management of ACS and stroke

  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

We ask that students seeking to participate in the ACLS course complete the American Heart Association® ACLS HeartCode® Course and Precourse Self-Asssessment ahead of the class. Blended Learning Pediatric advanced life support (pals)

Blended Learning HeartCode® Pediatrics Advanced Life Support is an instructor-led course for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response.

  • High-quality Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

  • Recognition of patients who do and do not require immediate intervention

  • Recognition of cardiopulmonary arrest early and application of CPR within 10 seconds

  • Apply team dynamics

  • Differentiation between respiratory distress and failure

  • Early interventions for respiratory distress and failure

  • Differentiation between compensated and decompensated (hypotensive) shock

  • Early interventions for the treatment of shock

  • Differentiation between unstable and stable patients with arrhythmias

  • Clinical characteristics of instability in patients with arrhythmias

  • Post–cardiac arrest management

We ask that students seeking to participate in the PALS course complete the American Heart Association® PALS HeartCode® Course and Precourse Self-Asssessment ahead of the class. "Young at heart" youth board

Our Youth Board is comprised of a number of high school and college age students who want to help make a difference in the community. They aid us in running our major fundraisers, as well as organizing their own annual fundraiser.
